Reid

Paul is a Partner at Walsh LLP who practices in the areas of First Nations Law, and Civil and Commercial Litigation.

More than anything, Paul Reid is a dedicated advocate, and strives to understand issues from the perspective of the parties he represents.

He takes time to invest in his clients and makes it a priority to understand both their personalities and goals. Paul makes it a point of practice to truly engage with the people and corporations he assists.

Paul’s practice is primarily focused on First Nations law, civil and commercial litigation, and regulatory litigation. Paul has successfully advocated for clients before the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada. Paul has participated and assisted in matters before the Federal Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada, as well as various administrative and regulatory tribunals, including the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council, Municipal Government Board, Environmental Appeals Board, and various Subdivision and Development Appeals Boards in Alberta. Paul has also conducted arbitration proceedings before the Sports Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada.

In his free time, Paul tries to wrap his mind around the concept of enjoying golf, despite the tremendous roadblocks that he experiences playing the game. He also enjoys hockey, basketball, and getting out to the mountains for snowboarding trips. Paul has a deep love of film and music, and always finds time to take in Alberta’s tremendous arts scene.
