Katherine is an Articling Student at Walsh LLP who practices in the area of Business and Corporate Law.

Katherine is a Student-at-Law with Walsh LLP, practicing in business and corporate law.

Katherine holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree from the University of Alberta. Prior to law school, Katherine worked in a managerial position for an international corporation, and was coordinator for the Network of Empowered Women, whom she represented at the Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business Conference. Katherine has also been a panelist for events held by Inspireher Society, and the Alberta School of Business.

Katherine’s interest in the law arose while assisting on a doctoral thesis with respect to legalities of international cloud computing. Specifically, Katherine saw great value in converting complex concepts into practical uses. This is a skill she believes she can pass on for the benefit of her clients.

In law school, Katherine was voted “Best Hair” in the infamous annual 1L Awards and was nominated for Chair of Student Life. Katherine completed her law degree from the University of Calgary.

In Katherine’s free time she enjoys long uphill cardio workouts (some call it hiking). Katherine also grew up on the ski slopes, so getting down mountains fast in the winter is second nature. However, it was recently decided that Katherine also needed a way to get down mountains fast in the summer… cue mountain biking. It is a work in progress (which explains the bumps and bruises).
